Had that zine workshop thing on the weekend. Kind of a smallish turnout. As in two people, plus the delightful Jessie Fairweather, who came along to help out and offer a good visual design counterpoint to my very writerly based approach.
Thanks to Claudia and Will for coming along to play. Your rants, reviews and collages were excellent, and you were very patient with this rambly old zinemaker. I must once again note my extreme zine jealousy of Will’s living arrangements, which include a household colour photocopier(!).
And here, to finish with, is a page each from the zines that Jessie and I made on the day. Our review pages. Try to guess whose is whose. Remember: one of us is mainly a writer and the other is mainly a graphic designer. Prizes for the most creative answer.
Except that Die Hard 4 isn’t generic, it’s TOTALLY AWESOME.
i bow to your judgement, which i totally respect in these matters, dear HSG. but how does it rate compared to ARMAGEDDON?
Oof. That blow, sir, it is low. I have recovered from my asteroid porn addiction.
no no no you’ve got me wrong – i’m a big fan of ARMAGEDDON. It’s not in the same league as CON AIR, but it gets the job done nicely.
